Summary
"In 326 A.D., a lone, stately woman embarks on the first pilgrimage ever made to the Holy Land. She is Helena, mother to Constantine the Great, Emperor of Rome, and she is making this difficult journey to atone for his great sin. She is fulfilling a solemn promise to find the holy places touched by the life of Jesus, and there build churches to honor Him. Follow Helena's struggles to find the humble place of Jesus' birth, the tomb of Lazarus, the Mount of Olives, Gethsemane, the Holy Sepulcher, and Golgotha, the site of Jesus' death. Her example of humility, faith and sacrifice made the Holy Land into a place of pilgrimage for centuries to come. She visits all the key places of the story of Jesus. Includes the bonus program, "King of Kings" which is a musical celebration of the life and land of Jesus. Scenes of His life and His miracles are woven together with beloved hymns and sacred songs that celebrate the mystery and wonder of Jesus as man, as Lord and King of Kings--Container back cover
